Move to learn provides students with adequate physical activities and opportunities to focus on school activities. Helps improve academic achievements and physical fitness. We are using 'Move to learn' program every morning.
DAY 2 Students also did coding activities on Seesaw.
DAY 3
This week is computer science week. The students participated in the Hour of Code at code.org An initiative to introduce everyone to the basics of coding. Your child can continue with the activities at home by following this link http://studio.code.org/sections/BRHJCQ In class, they worked with a partner and had to choose 'I have a partner' when they signed in. At home, they do not need to select 'I have a partner'.

Students are still improving technology skills. Some of the tasks are: taking a photo, record and save on Seesaw. We are also learning to upload our work to my drive , select a folder and save. Students are doing great job with technology in the classroom. Students used ChatterPix App to record. We had a lot of fun today. Please click on the students name to view the recording.
Ms Jan visited our class today and shared her tools with us. Cross-stitch is her holiday hobby.
Cool tool at school today! Thank you to Mr. Bill for coming and showing us some wood work. It was very well done. Students did a great job hammering those nails. We will be making our blocks talk using ChatterPix and share with you in my tomorrow's post.
We discussed different tools and units of measurement. One of them was a scale. Japie said that his mom weighs all his food.
''When you have diabetes, your diet is a vital part of your treatment plan. Of course, you know what you're eating — a turkey sandwich, a glass of skim milk, a sugar-free fudge pop. But do you pay attention to the details, such as calories, total carbohydrates, fiber, fat, salt and sugar? Reading food labels can help you make the best choices''.
Keep in mind that ingredients are listed in descending order by weight. The main (heaviest) ingredient is listed first, followed by other ingredients used in decreasing amounts.Consider carbs in context
If your meal plan is based on carbohydrate counting, food labels become an essential tool. Look at total carbohydrates, not just sugar. Evaluate the grams of total carbohydrates — which includes sugar, complex carbohydrates and fiber — rather than only the grams of sugar. If you zero in on sugar content, you could miss out on nutritious foods naturally high in sugar, such as fruit and milk. And you might overdo foods with no natural or added sugar, but plenty of carbohydrates, such as certain cereals and grains.
