You can start to write your prediction first.
WILL, MIGHT, CAN NOT (CAN'T)

Predict 3 events for this weekend.
One that will happen.
One that might happen.
One that can not happen

UNLIKELY and IMPOSSIBLE

This week in Grade 1B ...

  • We worked on our bridge project
  • Sharing Time: Peace
  • Creating a bridge for Sphero
  • Language (Spelling words) & Maths activities (measurement and 3D shapes)

Measuring the length , height and width of our bridges.

The broken telephone was one of my favourite provocation for an inquiry into 3D shapes. Great fun...
The message was cube has 6 faces, 12 edges and 8 vertices. We found out that the sentence was to difficult and we changed to 'Today is Tuesday' and finished with 'Today is Wednesday'.

Spelling activities on Seesaw. Word sort.

Finding out more about 3D shapes. How many faces, edges and vertices?- Group work.

Zara presented a dream catcher. She told us that it brings peace to people when they sleep. Gabriel shared a story about Mandela who brought peace and freedom to SA ( based on a movie he saw). It was an interesting sharing. Well done to Zara and Gabriel. !!!

           We love 3D shapes!!!!

History is part of our unit , therefore students looked at the time the bridges were built. We created a time line for our bridges and our birthdays.
