Some great moments from our sharing time!

  • Lauren spoke about her small lantern.

  •  Johanna brought a candle and explained what will happen to the flame when we close the lid.

  • Zara brought her Lava Lamp. She researched a lot about it, and confidently spoke to others.

  •  Amauro brought different light bulbs

  • Ohole shared all about glowing in the dark item.

  • Ethan and Lauren used their shoes as an example of flashing lights

During those two weeks, students inquired into different sources of light. Thank you for all the torches, solar lights, and other items.  Next week is all about sound!

In the classroom ...

We started exploring time and we focus on the full hour for example - It's 5 o'clock, students were excited to work with small clocks and a big clock on our carpet.

Please click HERE to view the song 'What is the clock say?' -students favourite.
Please don't forget to play a game about What time is it?- you will find it in HAS or on the blog.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Image result for welcome to grade 1 assembly

We started with our preparations for the next week assembly(1 February at 7:40).
We would like the students to wear colours of the Namibian flag; so we are talking about blue, red, white, yellow, and green. Please do not buy any new clothes.I'm sure you will find some clothes matching the colours of the flag in your child 's wardrobe.
Please let me know if you have any questions about it.

Kids are very excited about the songs we will perform.

I only can share with you that our presenters are Fudheni and Evandro.

We are hoping that you will be able to attend.

Kind Regards
Ms.Beata
