In the classroom ...

As you know, we started our 4th unit of inquiry, which falls under the Transdisciplinary Theme 'How the world works'.
Students are inquiring into different forms of energy and at the moment we are focusing on different sources of light.

We had a few interesting experiments so far.

  • Creating shadows on the car park.

We checked our shadows 4 times during the school day. Our first, exciting experience was at 7:45, where students were amazed by the own shadows. The second attempt was at 9:00, third at 11:00 and the last one at 13:00 o'clock. Please ask your child what happened to the shadows.
Thank you to Ms. Jan for some guidance and good tips.

  • Creating a shape shadow in class

We demonstrated a few light sources, including a flashlight that created a very diffuse light, bulb, candle, and solar lights.

We talked a lot about shadows and when they see them, and what makes them, and so on.

  • Light travels in a straight line- experiment number 3

Some of our best photos of the light experiments.
